Whats the Thanksgiving 2018 Date? Find out and plan ahead.

Well, let me tell ya somethin’ ’bout that Thanksgiving thingy in 2018. I ain’t no fancy scholar or nothin’, but I remember it was on a Thursday. Yeah, that’s right, a Thursday, just like most years, I reckon.

Now, some folks get all worked up ’bout the exact date and all that, but for me, it was just another Thursday in November. We always had our big meal then, you know, the turkey and all the fixin’s. My kids, they always looked forward to it, bless their hearts.

Whats the Thanksgiving 2018 Date? Find out and plan ahead.

I heard some city folk talkin’ ’bout how they figure out the date, somethin’ ’bout the fourth Thursday or somethin’. Sounds complicated to me. All I know is, it was on the 22nd of November that year. Yep, 22nd, I’m pretty sure of it. My old calendar, the one with the pretty pictures of birds, it said so.

  • Thanksgiving 2018? Thursday.
  • What day in November? 22nd, I think.
  • Big meal? You betcha! Turkey and all the trimmings.

Some years, Thanksgiving comes earlier, some years later. But in 2018, it was kinda late, almost near the end of the month. Made it a bit chilly, I remember. Had to wear my thick sweater to church that Sunday.

Now, I ain’t sure why they pick that particular day, but it’s always been a time for family and for bein’ thankful. And that’s what matters, ain’t it? Not the fancy dates or the calendars, but gettin’ together and countin’ your blessings. We didn’t have much, but we always had enough to be thankful for. Good food, good company, and a roof over our heads. That’s more than some folks got, you know.

I heard tell some folks were complainin’ that year. Said it was too close to Christmas or somethin’. Always somethin’ to complain about, ain’t there? Me, I just figured it meant more time with the family, and that was alright by me. More time to eat leftovers, too, which is always a good thing. We always had enough turkey to last us for days, sometimes even a whole week.

I remember my grandson, little Timmy, he was just a tyke then, he loved the mashed potatoes. Made a big ol’ mess, he did, but it was a happy mess. That’s what Thanksgiving’s all about, I reckon. Family, food, and makin’ memories.

Thanksgiving 2018. Seems like just yesterday, but time flies, don’t it? Now the kids are all grown up, and Timmy’s got kids of his own. But we still get together every year, on that Thursday in November, and we’re still thankful for all we got. Even if the date changes, the thankful part stays the same. That’s the important part, you see.

So, if you ask me, the exact date ain’t that important. What matters is the gettin’ together, the eatin’ good food, and the bein’ thankful. And in 2018, we did all that, just like always. It was a good day, a good Thanksgiving. A day for family, food, and rememberin’ all the good things in life. And that’s all there is to it, really.

I don’t pay much mind to all them countdowns and timers folks talk about. When it’s Thanksgiving, it’s Thanksgiving. You feel it in your heart, not on a clock. And that feeling? That’s the same every year, no matter what day it falls on. We didn’t need no fancy timer to tell us when to be thankful.

So yeah, 2018…Thanksgiving…Thursday…November 22nd. That’s what I remember. And I remember it being a good one, filled with laughter, love, and lots of good food. And that’s the most important thing, ain’t it?
