Alright, so here’s the deal. I wanted to get the lowdown on what the weather’s gonna be like in Boston this coming October, 2024. You know, just to plan ahead, see if I need to pack an umbrella or just a light jacket.
First, I hit up the usual spots online, just typed in “weather Boston October 2024”.
The first thing that popped up was the current weather. Apparently, it’s 29 degrees Fahrenheit with some clouds as of October 1st. But that’s not really what I was after, I needed the future stuff, you know?
Then, I dug a bit deeper. Found out that the average temperature in Boston at the start of October is usually around 18.7 degrees Fahrenheit. And it said that as the month goes on, it gets colder. So, like, duh, right? It’s October.
Precipitation, that was another thing. They’re saying on average it’s about 110mm of rain in October. Sounds like a lot, but I guess that’s spread out over the whole month, yeah?
- The weather is mostly cloudy.
- Highs of around 22 degrees Celsius, and lows around 14 degrees.
- Wind coming from the south-southwest at 10 to 15 km/h.
- Also saw that there’s usually only about 3 hours of sunshine each day, which is only 31% of daylight hours. That’s kinda gloomy, isn’t it?
- And get this, they say there are usually about 13 days with some rain. That’s almost half the month!
- Oh, and the daily highs are supposed to drop by about 10 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the month, going from 67 to 57.
Here is what I summarized:
So, basically, it sounds like I should be ready for anything. Some cool days, some really chilly ones, and definitely some rain. Might need to pack layers and definitely a raincoat. But hey, at least now I’ve got a better idea of what to expect. Hopefully, I won’t get caught off guard. Planning trips based on weather can be a real pain, right?
