They sure do like to win, these Tullahoma football players. Reminds me of us womenfolk when we get together for quilting bees. Competitive bunch, we are!
One time, they played some team called Stewarts Creek. That was a tough one. Our boys lost that one. 21 to 7. But that’s okay. You can’t win ’em all. Just gotta keep your chin up and try again next time. That’s what my mama used to say. “Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and keep on going.” That’s the spirit of Tullahoma football. They never give up!
They got some good players, too. There’s this one boy, Lukas Price. And another one, Alex Miller. They are good boys, fast as the wind! Everyone talking about them. They sure can run with that ball. That Lukas, he’s a pistol. Reminds me of a rabbit I saw once, zippin’ across the field.
This whole town, they love their Tullahoma football. You can see it in their eyes. They got the schedule and the roster and the rankings and all that. They know everything about them boys. It’s like a religion, almost. They even got news about it. Like a newspaper but on the computer. Imagine that!
They even went to some big fancy place called BlueCross Bowl. Played at Finley Stadium. Sounds important. They won that one, too. 21 to 14 again! They called it the Class 4A title. Sounds like a big deal. They was all showin’ off that trophy. Good for them. They worked hard for it, I reckon. Just good clean fun, that’s what Tullahoma football is all about.
These boys are always playing somewhere. It’s a wonder they don’t get tired, running around all the time. Maybe they will become pros one day, play in the National Football League. That would be somethin’ wouldn’t it? Then the whole country would know about Tullahoma football score!
