Sneak Peek: Black Friday 2014 Ads Leaked – Get Ready to Shop

Well, let me tell ya ’bout that Black Friday thingy back in 2014. It was a big deal, ya know? Everyone was talkin’ ’bout it, like it was the end of the world or somethin’. Black Friday 2014, they called it. Happened right after Thanksgiving, on November 28th.

Stores, they were all doin’ crazy sales. Like, cheaper than dirt, some of it. I remember hearin’ folks talkin’ ’bout Best Buy havin’ some real good deals on them electronic thingamajigs. You know, the TVs and the radios and such. People went nuts for it, I tell ya.

And then there was Walgreens. They had all sorts of free stuff, they said. “Freebies,” they called ’em. Made folks line up like sheep, it did. I even heard tell of somethin’ called “moneymakers” at Walgreens. Sounded fishy to me, but folks were all excited about it.

  • They had ads everywhere, too. Big ones, small ones, all over the place.
  • Target, they had a big ad, like a book almost. Thirty-nine pages, they said. Someone even put it online, so everyone could see it before the sale even started. Sneaky, huh?
  • And JCPenney, their ad was even bigger! Seventy pages! Said they were gonna open up on Thanksgiving Day itself, right at 5 pm. Imagine that, makin’ folks work on a holiday!
  • Even that eBay place, they had ads too. Somethin’ about a cheap computer, a “Chromebook” they called it, for $150. Folks were snatchin’ them up like hotcakes, I bet.

It wasn’t just the stores, though. The internet, it was buzzin’ too. People were postin’ lists of all the deals, from way back in 2003 all the way up to 2014. They had lists for 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, you name it. It was like a whole history of sales, right there for ya.

Some folks said it was the “glory days” of Black Friday, when it first got real popular. Me, I don’t know ’bout all that glory stuff. Seemed like a lot of fuss to me. But folks sure did love a good bargain, and Black Friday 2014, it had plenty of ’em.

Now, they say you gotta be ready for these sales, if you’re a seller, that is. Gotta have your store lookin’ good, gotta have your prices set, all that jazz. And they say you gotta do it a week before the sale starts, and then take it all down when it’s over. Unless it’s one of them week-long sales, then you can leave it up a bit longer.

Back then, it was mostly just Black Friday, but now they got this “Cyber Monday” too. And sometimes, they even call it “Cyber Week.” Always gotta have somethin’ new to sell, I guess.

So yeah, that’s what I remember ’bout Black Friday 2014. Lots of sales, lots of ads, lots of folks runnin’ around like chickens with their heads cut off. Seemed like a big deal back then, and I guess it still is for some folks. Me, I’m just happy to stay home and have a cup of coffee, myself.

Anyways, that’s the story as I remember it. Just a bunch of stores sellin’ stuff cheap, and people goin’ crazy for it. Same old story, just different year, I reckon.

Black Friday sales were somethin’ else, let me tell ya. Every store had a deal, it was hard to keep track. People lined up for hours, just to save a few dollars. Crazy if you ask me, but that’s what they did.

2014 Black Friday ads were everywhere you looked. In the newspaper, on the internet, even on the TV. You couldn’t escape ’em even if you tried. And them ads, they were full of promises, ya know? “Lowest prices of the year!” “Don’t miss out!” Stuff like that. Made folks think they were missin’ out if they didn’t go buy somethin’.

So, that’s my take on Black Friday 2014. A whole lot of hoopla, if you ask me. But folks seemed to like it, so I guess it was alright.
