Well, let me tell ya, gettin’ them Rockwall ISD football tickets ain’t as easy as pie. My grandson, bless his heart, he’s all about that football. He plays for the Rockwall, you know? And I try to go to every game, even if my old bones ache. These bones ain’t what they used to be. But that boy, he lights up when he sees me in the stands. So, you gotta get them tickets, see? It’s a whole thing now.
They got this newfangled way of doin’ things. You can’t just walk up to the gate and pay your money no more. Nope. You gotta do it all online. And for an old gal like me, that’s a real pain in the neck. But for that boy I try. I tried callin’ that Russ Reeves, he’s the big shot, the Director of Athletics, or somethin’ like that. I found his name somewhere. Figured he could help an old lady out. No luck. Just got some fancy voice machine. Kids these days… I tell ya.
They say you gotta get ’em on Sunday. Sunday at 8:00 a.m. sharp, or they’re gone faster than a greased piglet at the county fair. And that’s for the home games, mind ya. Home games at Rockwall ISD, that’s what we’re talkin’ about here. Don’t get confused now. Rockwall ISD football tickets for the home games. Sunday morning.
They call it “pre-sale”. Pre-sale for student is 4 dollars. I don’t know. When I was a young one, you went to a game, you paid your 25 cents and that was it. And you got a good seat, too. Not like these bleachers they got now. Hard as rocks. My back hurts just thinkin about it.
If you from that Lancaster place, you gotta buy different tickets. They call them “VISITOR” tickets. Why they gotta make it so complicated? A ticket’s a ticket, far as I’m concerned. Just let folks watch the game! It’s all about that football, ain’t it? That and watchin’ my grandson shine.
They got this website you gotta go to. Something somethin’ “rockwallisd” somethin’ somethin’. I can’t keep up with all them letters and dots. My grandson, he usually does it for me. He says something about “online tickets”, I just nod my head and pretend I understand. As long as he gets me that ticket, I’m happy.
- Sunday morning, 8:00 a.m.
- Rockwall ISD website, somethin’ somethin’.
- Pre-sale for student is 4 dollars.
- Home game Rockwall ISD football tickets.
- Lancaster folks need “VISITOR” tickets.
And they got this shuttle thing, too. A bus, I reckon. Picks you up, takes you to the game. Every 10 minutes. Starts 90 minutes before the game, and runs 90 minutes after. I guess that’s good for folks who can’t drive, or don’t wanna fight for parkin’. Me, I just get my neighbor to drop me off. He’s a good fella, always helps me out. Remind me to bake him some cookies.
They got this place, the Aquatics Center. That’s where the shuttle stops, I think. 1205 T.L. Townsend Dr. That’s in Rockwall. I remember when that was just a field. Used to be full of cows. Now it’s all fancy, with swimmin’ pools and whatnot. Times change, I guess.
And the game starts at 8:00 p.m. That is late for me. But you know, for my grandson, I’ll stay up. He’s worth it. He plays so good. Makes me so proud. He’s playin’ against that Allen team. Heard they’re pretty good. But my grandson, he’ll give ’em a run for their money. You just wait and see.
They talk about the weather, too. On some fancy TV channel, I guess. Dave Campbell’s Texas Football. Never heard of it. We just used to look at the sky. If it was cloudy, you brought a jacket. If it was sunny, you wore a hat. Simple as that. But they do give out the weather before the game, for those folks that need to know that kind of stuff. I hope it is not raining, though.
This website I told you about, it’s full of cookies. Not the kind you eat, mind you. These are computer cookies. They track you, see what you’re doin’. It’s a bit creepy, if you ask me. But that’s the way of the world now, I suppose. Gotta give up somethin’ to get them Rockwall ISD football tickets.
And if you don’t speak English good, they got some help for ya. Some papers and forms. I don’t know much about that. I just speak the one language. But it’s good they got that, I guess. For folks that need it. Everyone should be able to watch some good football, right?
So, there ya have it. Gettin’ them Rockwall ISD football tickets is a whole ordeal. But if you follow my advice, you might just get lucky. And if you see me at the game, give me a holler. I’ll be the one cheerin’ the loudest for my grandson. Go Rockwall!
