Planning to See Brit Floyd Pittsburgh 2024? Heres Your Guide

Alright, so listen up, y’all. Let’s talk about this Brit Floyd thing comin’ to Pittsburgh, yeah? I heard some folks jabberin’ about it down at the market. Sounded like a big deal, so I figured I’d try to make sense of it for ya.

So, this Brit Floyd, they ain’t the real Pink Floyd, ya hear? They’re like, a copycat band, playin’ all them Pink Floyd songs. Like a cover band, but bigger and fancier, I guess. They call it a “tribute,” sounds all highfalutin, don’t it?

Now, they’re comin’ to Pittsburgh, to that Benedum Center place, you know, downtown. Fancy place, all them lights and whatnot. They’re gonna be there in 2024, March 7th and 8th, I think it was. Two days! Must be a lot of folks wanna hear them Pink Floyd songs.

People are sayin’ it’s a real good show, you know? Lights and videos and all that jazz. They play all the famous songs, like from “Dark Side of the Moon” and “The Wall.” Heard them names before, even if I ain’t never listened to the whole thing myself. Too much noise for my taste, but folks seem to like it.

  • They play a long time, too. Two and a half hours, maybe more! That’s a lot of singin’ and playin’. Gotta have some strong lungs for that, I tell ya.
  • And it ain’t just Pittsburgh, no sir. These Brit Floyd fellas, they go all over the world, playin’ them songs. Twelve countries, they say! That’s a lot of travelin’. Must get mighty tired on them planes and buses.

Folks are sayin’ they play the songs just like the real Pink Floyd, note for note and all that. Like you wouldn’t even know the difference. Must be talented fellas, to play like that. I can barely play the radio without messing it up!

Now, they’re also gonna do another show next year, in 2025. Something about 50 years of “Wish You Were Here.” That’s another Pink Floyd record, I reckon. They’ll be back in Pennsylvania, that’s for sure, but not sure if they coming back to Pittsburgh for that one. Folks gotta keep an eye out, see where they’ll be.

Benedum Center, that’s where WDVE is puttin’ on the show this year. That WDVE, they play all that rock and roll music on the radio. Always hearin’ it when I’m drivin’ the pickup truck. They must be big supporters of this Brit Floyd thing.

Seems like a lot of fuss over a band that ain’t even the real deal, but hey, if people enjoy it, that’s their business. Me? I prefer a good old hymn at the church social. But to each their own, I always say.

So, if you like that Pink Floyd music, this Brit Floyd might be somethin’ you wanna check out. Just remember, it ain’t the original, but folks say they’re pretty darn close. And that’s all I got to say about that.

Just remember, March 7th and 8th, Benedum Center, that’s where it’s at in 2024. Don’t go missin’ it now, if you’re so inclined. And keep your ears open for that 2025 tour, the one about “Wish You Were Here.” They might be comin’ back around these parts. Who knows?
