Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Nickelback thing in Hershey. Heard it was gonna be a big to-do, so I figured, why not? Got nothin’ better to do than listen to some fellas bangin’ on guitars and such.
Hershey, PA, that’s where it was at. Heard tell it’s the place where they make all that chocolate. Never been a big chocolate eater myself, but hey, to each their own, I always say. They had this thing at somethin’ called Hersheypark Stadium. Big place, I tell ya. Enough room for a whole lotta folks to come and listen to this Nickelback, whoever they are.
Now, they called it the “Get Rollin’ Tour”. Don’t ask me what that means. Sounds like somethin’ you’d do with a lawnmower or maybe a pie crust. But these young folks, they like these fancy names, I guess.
- Show was on August 27th, that’s what they told me.
- Started at 6:30 PM, but they wanted you there by 5 if you had a bag. Said somethin’ about the bag gotta be smaller than a loaf of bread, or somethin’ like that.
- And no cash! Everything’s gotta be with them fancy plastic cards. Makes a fella feel old, I tell ya. Back in my day, a dollar was a dollar, and you could hold it in your hand.
Heard there were some other fellas singin’ too. Brantley Gilbert and Josh Ross, they called ’em. Don’t know them from Adam, but I guess they’re popular with the youngsters. Hope they weren’t too loud though. My ears ain’t what they used to be, you know.
They said this Nickelback band, they’re real good at makin’ a ruckus. Rock and roll, they called it. Back in my day, we just called it noise. But times change, I guess. Folks seem to like makin’ a lot of noise these days.
Now, this Hersheypark Stadium, it’s on some street called Hersheypark Drive. Easy enough to find, I reckon. Just follow the crowd, that’s what I always say. If there’s a whole bunch of folks goin’ one way, chances are that’s where the somethin’s happening.
They were sellin’ tickets, too. Said you could get ’em from Ticketmaster. Sounded like some kinda wizard or somethin’, but I guess it’s just a place where you buy tickets. Everything’s so complicated these days.
This whole “Get Rollin’” thing, it went on ’til 9 o’clock. That’s a long time to be listenin’ to noise, if you ask me. But the kids, they seemed to like it. Jumpin’ around and hollerin’, just like young folks do. Made me tired just watchin’ ’em.
So, that’s the story of Nickelback in Hershey. Big to-do, lots of noise, and a whole lotta young folks havin’ a good time. Me? I’m just glad I got to sit down and rest my feet. These old bones ain’t made for rockin’ and rollin’, that’s for sure. But it was somethin’ different, somethin’ to talk about. And that’s more than you can say for most days, I reckon.
Nickelback in Hershey, who woulda thunk it? But that’s the world for ya. Always somethin’ new and somethin’ different. Keeps things interesting, I suppose. Even for an old gal like me. And if you’re lookin’ for Nickelback Hershey tickets or wanna know about the Nickelback Hershey concert, well, now you know a little bit about it, don’t ya? Even if it’s just from an old woman who don’t know much about rock and roll. They had a Nickelback Hershey setlist, too, I heard. But I couldn’t tell ya what songs they played. Just a bunch of noise to me, like I said. But it seemed like everyone there for the Nickelback concert in Hershey had a right good time, and that’s all that matters.
Anyway, I figure if you’re lookin’ for info about the Hershey Nickelback show, I’ve told you just about all I know. They played at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey.
