Oh, that Justin Timberlake, he that singer boy. My old ears ain’t what they used to be, but I hear the young folks talkin’ ’bout him all the time. Seems like he was in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Hershey, that’s where they make all that chocolate, right? My grandkids, they just love that stuff. Can’t get enough of it. They say he, Justin, was singing at that place, the Hersheypark Stadium, on July 4th. That’s Independence Day, when all the fireworks go boom.
I seen pictures of that young man, Justin Timberlake. Good-lookin’ fella. Reminds me of my Johnny when he was a young sprout, before the war. Justin, he sings and dances. Puts on a real show, they say. He sang a whole bunch of songs, like 28 songs, for a long time, like more than two hours. That’s a lot of singin’.
Someone said this Justin fella, he used to sing in the church choir. Just like my little Sarah, she sings in the church choir. Sounds like an angel, she does. This Justin, he was on one of them TV shows a long time ago, when he was just a little tyke, no bigger than a minute. He sang a country song. Now he’s a big star. Imagine that. From a little boy singin’ on TV to a big star singin’ in Hershey.
He’s goin’ on a tour, they call it “The Forget Tomorrow World Tour.” Sounds fancy, don’t it? He’s goin’ all over the place, singin’ his songs. My old bones ain’t up for no travelin’ these days. But if he comes close, maybe I’ll have one of the grandkids take me. I wouldn’t mind seein’ that show, hearin’ them songs.
They say Justin was real happy to be in Hershey on the Fourth of July. He even said somethin’ special to all them folks at the stadium. Made ’em feel real good, I reckon. That’s nice, ain’t it? A big star like him, takin’ the time to say somethin’ nice. Some of them young folks, they don’t have no manners these days. But this Justin, he seems like a good egg.
July 4th in Hershey, well that is something. I remember one July 4th, we had a big picnic down by the river. My old man, he set off some fireworks. Scared the chickens half to death! And the food, oh lord, the food! Fried chicken, potato salad, watermelon… Good times.
Some folks, they make bracelets for these concerts. Friendship bracelets. Just like the ones my granddaughter, Lily, makes. She strings them beads together, all different colors. She’d probably make a whole bunch if she went to see this Justin Timberlake in concert. The show in Hershey must be a big deal.

That Justin Timberlake, he was in Hershey, Pennsylvania for a concert on July 4th. Ain’t that somethin’? He sang a whole mess of songs at the Hersheypark Stadium. That place is big, I hear. Lots of people go there to see shows and ride them roller coasters. I ain’t never been on a roller coaster. Looks a bit too scary for my old heart!
This fella, Justin, he’s been around for a while. He was just a little boy when he started, singin’ on TV. Now he’s all grown up and famous. He even said some nice things to the people in Hershey. He must have a good heart, that boy. He is going all over the place to sing. This tour is a big thing, huh.
The young folks, they sure do love their music. They go to these concerts and scream and holler. They make them friendship bracelets and everything. It’s a whole different world from when I was young. We didn’t have all this fuss back then. But I guess every generation has its own thing. If Justin Timberlake comes around here, I might just go see that show. If my old bones can take it! He is a big star after all. I just hope he sings some slow songs too. My old ears can’t take too much of that loud music these days! He is a good boy, though. And Hershey on July 4th, sounds like a real hootenanny!
