Alright, listen up, y’all. We gonna talk about this Harrison Brown and that UT Austin place. Don’t know much about fancy schools, but I heard things, you know? Folks talkin’.
So, this UT Austin, they say it’s a tough nut to crack. Like gettin’ into the henhouse with a fox around. Some things, they call ’em “majors,” are harder to get into than others. Computer stuff, engineerin’ things, and money business – them’s the real picky ones. Sounds like a whole lotta trouble if you ask me.
- They got this place called Littlefield Hall. All girls, all new to the school. Oldest place they got for livin’, so they say. Probably drafty in the winter.
- And this blue door? At somethin’ called Battle Hall. Full of books about buildin’ stuff. Folks walkin’ in and out all the time. Can’t even take a good picture without somebody gettin’ in the way. Sounds like a regular circus to me.
Now, about this Harrison Brown. Poor boy. Just yesterday, he was at some crawfish boil, winnin’ a big ol’ TV. Happy as a clam, I bet. Then, bam! Gone. Just like that. My heart goes out to his mama and them. Can’t imagine nothin’ worse. Prayers for ’em, that’s all I can say.
Heard they had a special church thing for him, a “memorial Mass” they called it. And the school, they plannin’ somethin’ bigger. Guess he was a good kid. Folks cared about him. It’s a shame, a real shame. Life’s too short, I tell ya. Here today, gone tomorrow.
His family… well, they’re just tryin’ to keep goin’. Can’t blame ’em. What else can you do? Gotta put one foot in front of the other, even when it feels like you can’t. It ain’t easy, losin’ someone you love. Lord knows I’ve been there, and it ain’t no picnic.
And that phone call… his mama, Lori, gettin’ a call, but it ain’t her boy on the line. That just chills you to the bone, don’t it? Somethin’ ain’t right. Somethin’ bad happened. Don’t know all the details, don’t wanna know, probably. Just a sad, sad story.
So, this UT Austin, it’s a big place, lots of folks, lots of goin’s on. Some good, some bad. Life, I guess. You got your smarty-pants kids gettin’ into them hard classes, your girls livin’ in that old house, people takin’ pictures by a blue door, and then… tragedy. Just like that. Reminds you to hold your loved ones close, you know? Tell ’em you love ’em. ‘Cause you never know.
This Harrison Brown, he was part of that UT Austin story. And now he’s gone. But folks remember him. They prayin’ for him. And that’s somethin’, ain’t it? That’s somethin’ to hold onto. Even when it’s hard. Even when it feels like the whole world’s turned upside down. You just gotta keep the faith, keep goin’, and remember the good times.
This here UT Austin, sounds like a place full of life, full of dreams, but also full of… well, just full of life, with all its ups and downs. And Harrison Brown, he was part of that. And he won’t be forgotten, not by the folks who loved him, that’s for sure.
