Alright, listen up y’all, let’s talk about this Royse City football, you hear? I don’t know much about fancy plays and all that, but I know what I see. Them boys in Royse City, they play hard, real hard.
Them Friday Night Lights
Now, they got them Friday night lights, just like everywhere else. Folks get all riled up, you know? Tailgatin’, hollerin’, the whole shebang. It’s a big deal, specially that first game. Heard it’s gonna be August 30th this year. Everybody and their brother gonna be there, I reckon. And that Homecoming game? Don’t even get me started! Folks come from miles around. They say it’s against North Forney this year, and it’s gonna be a big one, with all the ceremonies and whatnot before the game even starts. Seven o’clock kickoff, they say.
- Big crowds
- Lots of yellin’
- Food, I guess
The Bulldogs Fight Hard
They call ’em the Bulldogs, and they sure do fight like dogs, bless their hearts. Win or lose, they give it their all. I remember last year, they played Longview Lobos. Got shut out, they did. 30 to nothin’. Stormy night, it was. Folks were soaked, but they stayed till the bitter end. That’s Royse City for ya, tough folks, tough team. Season ended that night, sad to say. But them boys, they held their heads high.
This year, they’re startin’ off against Plano East Panthers. Heard them Panthers are pretty good, made the playoffs last year, first time in five years. Gonna be a tough game, I tell ya. But our boys, they ain’t scared. They’ll be ready.
The Schedule and All That
Now, I ain’t got no fancy schedule printout or nothin’, but I heard they got a whole bunch of games lined up. Varsity team, junior varsity, all them young’uns. They play all through the fall, right into November, I think. You can probably find the schedule online, if you’re into that kinda thing. Just search for “Royse City football schedule” or somethin’ like that. Heard November 8th, 2024, was a game, maybe the last one, I don’t rightly recollect.
More Than Just Football
You know, it ain’t just about football, though. It’s about the town, the community. It brings folks together, you see? Everybody’s cheerin’ for the same thing, forgettin’ their troubles for a little while. It’s good for the soul, I reckon. And them boys, they learn somethin’ too, about teamwork, about workin’ hard, about not givin’ up. That’s important, real important.
Good Kids, Them Bulldogs
I see them boys around town sometimes, good kids, most of ’em. Polite, respectful. They work hard in school, and they work hard on the field. Makes you proud, you know? To see ’em out there, representin’ Royse City.
So, Go Bulldogs!
So that’s about all I gotta say about Royse City football. I ain’t no expert, but I know what I like. And I like them Bulldogs. They got heart, they got grit, and they got a whole town behind ’em. So go Bulldogs! Go out there and make us proud!
Don’t Forget the Food!
And one last thing, don’t forget the snacks at the games! Them concession stands got all sorts of goodies, hot dogs, popcorn, candy. Gotta have somethin’ to munch on while you’re watchin’ the game, right? It’s all part of the fun.
Anyways, that’s all I got. Hope you enjoyed my little ol’ take on Royse City Football. Now y’all have a good day, ya hear?
