Alright, so listen up, y’all. I’m gonna tell ya ’bout this thing, this… Dell Children’s Ball. Yeah, that’s it. Sounds fancy, huh? Well, it kinda is, but it’s for a good cause, ya know?
So, this Dell Children’s Ball, it’s a big to-do, they do it every year. It’s for that Dell Children’s Medical Center place. You know, where they take care of the little’uns when they get sick or hurt. Real important place, that is.
They raise a whole lotta money at this here ball. And lemme tell ya, every single dollar they get, it stays right there. Don’t go wanderin’ off to some fancy-pants place. Nope, it goes straight to helpin’ them kids and their families at that Dell Children’s. That’s what I heard, anyhow.
Now, I ain’t never been to one of these balls myself. Too highfalutin’ for me, I reckon. But from what I gather, it’s a big party. Lots of folks, all dressed up in their Sunday best. Prob’ly got music and dancin’ and all that jazz. And they’re all there to give money to help them kids. That’s the main thing, see?
This year, they did it a little different, though. Heard tell it was virtual, which I guess means on the computer or somethin’. Free for folks to watch, too. Ain’t that somethin’? Guess they figured more folks could join in and help out that way. Smart thinkin’, if ya ask me.
They got all these big shots there, too. Phil… somethin’ or others. Big money folks, ya know? From Austin and all over. They come to give their money and show their support. It’s a real important thing for that hospital, this here ball. Keeps it runnin’ and helps them take care of all them kids.
- They raise money. A lot of it.
- It’s for Dell Children’s Medical Center.
- Every dollar helps the kids and families.
- This year it was virtual and free.
- Big important folks get involved.
I tell ya, it warms my heart to hear about folks doin’ good things for them little’uns. Kids gettin’ sick or hurt, it’s a terrible thing. And knowin’ that there’s a place like Dell Children’s, and folks willin’ to give their hard-earned money to help, well, it just makes ya feel good. It really does.
It’s a yearly thing, this Dell Children’s Ball. They do it every year to keep that money comin’ in. ‘Cause them kids, they need help all year round, not just once in a while. And that hospital, it needs money to keep the lights on and pay the doctors and nurses and all that. It ain’t cheap, you know?
So, even though I ain’t never been to one of them fancy balls, and probably never will, I’m glad they do it. And I’m glad folks give their money. ‘Cause them kids, they’re the future, ya know? And we gotta take care of ’em. That’s just the way it is.
And that’s the gist of it, ya’ll. That Dell Children’s Ball. Big party, big money, all for a good cause. Helpin’ them kids at Dell Children’s. That’s what it’s all about. So, next time you hear about it, remember what I told ya. It’s a good thing, a real good thing.
They don’t just take care of the little kids, you know. They help teenagers too. All kinds of kids with all kinds of problems. And that money, it helps all of ‘em. From the littlest babies to the bigger kids, they all get the care they need. That’s why it’s so important to support this here ball, or anythin’ that helps them kids.
I seen some pictures once, from one of them balls. Fancy folks, all smilin’ and laughin’. But underneath all that, I know they care. They care about them kids and they want to help. And that’s what matters. It ain’t about the fancy dresses or the big parties. It’s about the kids.
So, God bless ‘em, all them folks who give their time and money to help out. And God bless them kids at Dell Children’s. And that’s all I got to say about that Dell Children’s Ball. It’s a good thing, plain and simple.
