Well, let me tell ya ’bout this weather thing, the weather in June, you know? Folks always talkin’ ’bout it, wantin’ to know if it’s gonna rain or shine. I ain’t no fancy weather person, but I’ve seen enough summers to know a thing or two.
Weather predictions for June, that’s what they call it. Sounds mighty important, doesn’t it? They say them weather folks, they got these fancy machines and computers and whatnot. They look at the sky, at the clouds, and they try to figure out what’s comin’.
Now, they say for the first three days, them weather predictions are pretty good. Like, maybe 90%, maybe 95% right. That means if they say it’s gonna be sunny, well, chances are it will be. And if they say it’s gonna rain, you best grab your umbrella. They say the temperature, you know, how hot or cold it is, that’s pretty close too, for them first few days. Maybe off by a couple of degrees, give or take.
- But after a few days, things get a little iffy.
- Day four, five, six, seven, they ain’t so sure no more. The further out they try to guess, the less likely they are to be right.
- It’s like tryin’ to predict what a chicken’s gonna do next. You just can’t be too certain.
I heard tell there’s this place called the Korea Meteorological Administration, KMA they call it. Sounds fancy, huh? They say them folks over there, they’re pretty good at tellin’ the weather. They give folks the information they need, so they know whether to plant their crops or stay inside. It’s important to know, you see, for folks that farm and all.
Then there’s this other outfit, The Weather Company. Heard they’re the best, all over the world. America, Canada, way over in Europe, everywhere. They got all sorts of fancy gadgets, I reckon. They say their weather guessin’ is the most reliable. But you know what I say? Even the best can be wrong sometimes. That’s just nature’s way, I guess.
They say a seven-day forecast, well, they might get it right eight times outta ten. And a five-day forecast, that’s better, maybe nine times outta ten. But that still means there’s a chance they’ll get it wrong. And when they do, well, you just gotta shrug your shoulders and go on about your day. Ain’t nothin’ you can do about the weather, no matter how much they try to predict it. It’ll do what it’s gonna do, no matter what anybody thinks or says, that’s for sure.
So, when you hear them weather predictions for June, take ’em with a grain of salt, I say. They might be right, they might be wrong. Just keep an eye on the sky, that’s what I do. And listen to your bones. If your joints are achin’, it’s probably gonna rain. That’s more reliable than any of them fancy weather folks, if you ask me.
And don’t forget them storm warnings. They got these radars now, they can see the storms comin’. That’s mighty helpful, I reckon. Keeps folks safe, lets ’em know when to take cover. The local news, they’ll tell ya. They are pretty good about that. Always tellin’ ya where the storms are and what’s gonna happen next. We didn’t used to have that, ya know. You just had to look at the sky and guess. Now folks can be prepared. Times sure have changed.
But at the end of the day, weather is weather. It does what it wants, when it wants. And we just gotta live with it, whether it’s sunshine or rain, hot or cold, a gentle breeze or a big old storm. That’s just how it is.
So that’s my take on the weather predictions for June. Don’t put too much stock in ’em, but don’t ignore ’em altogether neither. Just use your common sense, and you’ll be just fine. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my garden. Hope them weather folks are right about the rain, my plants are thirsty.
