Okay, here is my sharing about Jack O’Dowd baseball:
I was digging around for some baseball stuff the other day, and this name kept popping up: Jack O’Dowd. I’d heard the name before, but didn’t know much about him. I mean, his dad was a big shot with the Rockies, so I figured he had to be decent, right? I started checking out his stats and some game clips.
First, I looked at his transaction history. I saw that on June 8, 2024, the West Virginia Black Bears added him to their roster. Not too long ago! I kept digging, and found some stuff from when he was with Baseball Factory’s National Texas team back in 2019. They called him a “top prospect” and said he was a pretty good infielder, and a left-handed hitter.
Then I found some old notes from his college coach, Tim Corbin. He said Jack was “mature”. That’s gotta count for something, right? I also found a bunch of his stats from college and summer leagues. The guy has played a lot of ball, and I gotta say, his stats aren’t too shabby. I could tell just by looking that he’s spent a whole lot of time learning the ins and outs of the game.
So, what did I do? Well, I watched a bunch of clips of him playing. I wanted to see if all this stuff I was reading was true. I watched him at bat, in the field, everything.
Here’s the thing: He’s the real deal. I mean, he’s not the flashiest player out there, but he’s solid. He makes the plays, he gets on base, and you can tell he knows what he’s doing.
I ended up spending a good chunk of my day just watching this guy play baseball. It was pretty fun, actually. I got a little caught up in it, to be honest.

My Summary
I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on him to see how he does with the Black Bears. Who knows, maybe we’ll see him in the big leagues one day.
