Say Yes to Austin: Your Guide to the Austin Princess Bride Style.

My granddaughter, she’s gettin’ hitched! Down in Austin, that big city. Says she wants to be a princess bride. Well, ain’t that somethin’? She always was a fancy one, even as a little girl. Always wantin’ the shiniest shoes and the prettiest ribbons. Now she wants a shiny dress, I reckon.

Austin Princess Bride

This Austin princess bride thing got me thinkin’. Back in my day, we just wore whatever mama had sewed up. Didn’t have no fancy stores like they got now. But this girl, she’s set on findin’ the perfect dress. Says it’s gotta be fit for a queen. Well, I don’t know about all that, but she’s my granddaughter, so I’m tryin’ to understand.

She told me there’s all these shops in Austin, just for weddin’ dresses. Can you believe that? Whole stores full of nothin’ but white dresses. Sounds like a waste to me, but what do I know? She’s young, and it is her wedding after all.

  • Blingy dresses
  • Traditional bride
  • Best Austin bridal shops
  • Ball gown

She keeps talkin’ about these “designers.” Like they’re some kind of fancy artists or somethin’. Back when I got married, the only designer was mama and her sewin’ machine. We picked some stuff from our daily wearing. And she didn’t charge nothin’ for it neither. These young people today, they got so many choices. Too many, if you ask me.

Find The Perfect Wedding Dress

They say findin’ the right dress is a big deal. You gotta try on a whole bunch of ’em, they say. This Austin princess bride, she’s gonna be tryin’ on dresses all day, I bet. Hope she don’t get too tired. Standin’ around in them heavy dresses all day, it ain’t easy. Especially that dress seems like a ball gown, I saw it on TV, it is really big and heavy.

Her mama, she’s goin’ with her. They’re gonna make a whole day of it. Lunch and everything. Sounds like a lot of fuss to me, but they seem excited. I guess that’s what matters. They will go to the best Austin bridal shops. I wish I can go with them, but my old bones can’t make that trip no more.

Say Yes to the Dress in Austin

They got this show on TV, “Say Yes to the Dress.” My granddaughter, she loves that show. Watches it all the time. She says it’s gonna be just like that when she goes to find her dress. All them people fussin’ over her, helpin’ her pick out the perfect one. I saw one episode, a girl wants a ball gown, very big one, like a princess bride.

I don’t know about all that drama. Seems like a lot of unnecessary tears to me. But hey, if it makes her happy, that’s all that counts. She’s a good girl, my granddaughter. Deserves to feel special on her weddin’ day. It is not easy to say yes to a dress I think, so many choices. Wish her luck.

They say you’re supposed to pick out dresses from certain “designers” you like. That’s one of the tips I saw from the TV. Like I said, that’s all new to me. Back in my day, we didn’t have no fancy designers. We just had what was available at the time. Usually it is white, maybe some people will choose pink, that’s it. But today’s bride they want different colors, like blue, yellow or even black! My goodness!

But this Austin princess bride, she knows what she wants. I think she already know which shop she will go to. She’s got it all planned out. She’s a smart girl, just like her grandma. She will be the most beautiful princess bride in Austin, or even in the world, I am sure.

Wedding Dress Shopping

This whole wedding dress shopping thing is a big production these days. It ain’t like it used to be. Used to be, you just got married in whatever you had. Now, it’s a whole event. Gotta have the perfect dress, the perfect flowers, the perfect everythin’.

I guess it’s nice, though. Nice to see these young people so happy. And my granddaughter, she’s gonna be the prettiest bride there ever was. Even if she does want to be an Austin princess bride. That’s my girl. She always had her own style, she always want to be a princess bride. Now she is going to be one, at least on her wedding day!

I hope she finds the dress of her dreams. I really do. She deserves to be happy. And if a fancy dress makes her happy, then so be it. Even if it is a little over the top for this old lady’s taste. But I still love her. And I’m proud of her, no matter what kind of dress she picks. She is an Austin princess bride now. I hope she will have a happy marriage life after the wedding. That’s the most important thing, a happy life.

I remember my wedding day, it is a long time ago. I don’t have a beautiful dress, but I do have a happy life. I hope the same to my granddaughter. It is good to be an Austin princess bride, but it is more important to be a happy wife. Wedding is just one day, but marriage is the whole life. Always remember that, my dear Austin princess bride.
