Well, let me tell you, I heard some folks talking ’bout this place, Puerto Rico. They say it’s mighty hot there, ‘specially in August. Now, they’re askin’ about the Puerto Rico weather in August 2024. Lord knows what it’ll be like next year, but I can tell ya what I’ve heard about August in that place.
They say August is when it’s the hottest over there. Like, oven-hot. We’re talkin’ 30 degrees, whatever that means in chicken scratch. I reckon it’s like our hottest summer day, but every day. And the nights? Still warm. Don’t even think about needing a blanket, no sir. They say it’s usually around 78, which I reckon is still pretty warm for sleepin’. I heard it rarely dips down below 76, which is mighty toasty if you ask me. Highest it gets at night? Still 78, ‘specially around August 6th. That’s what they tell me.
And rain? Oh, honey, it rains. They say August is the wettest month. The rainy season is during summer, between May and August. So much rain you could fill a whole bunch of rain barrels. And it’s not just a little sprinkle. It’s a lot. They say seven inches of rain in August! That is a lot, I think. Like, fill up a rain barrel, and then some more. I reckon those folks in Puerto Rico got webbed feet by now, with all that water.
Now, they say this Puerto Rico is in the Caribbean Sea, which means it’s got that tropical weather. Hot and sticky, like when you’re cannin’ peaches in July and the kitchen gets all steamy. That’s the kinda hot we’re talkin’ about. So, if you’re goin’ in August, pack light clothes. You won’t be needin’ no heavy coats, that’s for sure. And maybe bring an umbrella, ’cause it sounds like you’ll need it. You have to come early to get a good spot on the beach in this hot summer. Even though it is hot, there are many tourists.
Some folks say that the hurricane is also coming from June to November. They are like those big storms we get sometimes, the ones that blow the roof off your barn if you’re not careful. August, September, and October are the worst for those hurricanes, they say. That sounds a bit scary to me. I wouldn’t wanna be there when one of those hits. But, they say that since there ain’t many tourists during those hurricane months, the beaches and hotels are less crowded. I reckon that’s good if you like peace and quiet, but not so good if you like sunshine and swimmin’.
And if you’re lookin’ to go when it’s not so busy, I hear April to May is a good time. The weather is still nice, not too hot, not too cold. They say it’s good for the beach. And September to December ain’t too crowded either. Though I reckon you’d be takin’ a chance with those hurricanes in September. Spring and fall, that is April to May and September to December, are not too crowded. The price is also not that high.
- August in Puerto Rico: Hot, humid, and rainy. Like, really rainy.
- Nighttime: Still hot. Around 78 degrees.
- Hurricanes: They happen, especially in August, September, and October.
- Best time to go if you like it less crowded: April to May or September to December (but watch out for hurricanes in September).
Now, some folks say the best time to go to Puerto Rico is from mid-April to mid-June. They say the weather is just right then. Not too hot, not too rainy. Sounds nice, don’t it? But if you’re thinkin’ about August, just be prepared for heat, rain, and maybe even a hurricane or two. That’s all I know about this Puerto Rico weather in August 2024 business. Hope it helps you figure things out. Just remember what I said about that heat and rain!
And you know, they say December to April is also pretty good. Mild weather, they say, in the low-to-mid 80s. And it’s dry then. Sounds a lot better than August to me, but hey, some folks like it hot. If you want to save some money on a trip, August to November is cheap. Because it is the rainy season, there are fewer tourists, so the price is low. But, who wants to go on vacation when it’s rainin’ all the time? It is just my thought, though.
March and September are the worst months if you want to go there. There are many tourists, so the price is high. And September is at risk of hurricanes, just like August. So, I won’t go there in March or September. I will go when there are fewer people and no risk of storms. That is a good vacation for me. I do not want to get blown away by the wind or get wet in the rain when I want to have fun.
You know what? If you just want sunshine, maybe August ain’t the best time. I mean, that is a lot of rain. Maybe other months are better if you just want to lie in the sun. Or you just have to come really early in the morning to get a spot on the beach. It is hot and a lot of people are on the beach. But that is just what I heard. I am not going to Puerto Rico. It is too hot for me there in August.
