Well, I hear tell there’s gonna be a big ol’ shindig down in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Some fancy singer lady named Jenny Lewis is comin’ to town. June 21st, that’s the day. They say it’s gonna be at this Riverfront Park place. Sounds like a hootenanny to me!
This Jenny Lewis, she’s gonna be singin’ her heart out. I reckon it’ll be a real good time. 8:00 PM, that’s when the music starts. Riverfront Park, they say it’s right pretty, right there in downtown Harrisburg. This is part of somethin’ called the Harrisburg University Summer Concert Series. Sounds mighty important, don’t it?
They’re sellin’ tickets, you know. Gotta have a ticket to get in, I suppose. Some cost around $56, I heard. Others a little more. Seems like a lot, but I guess that’s how they do things these days. Probably worth it to hear this Jenny Lewis sing. People say she’s famous, been a star since she was a young girl.
Now, I ain’t never heard of her before, to be honest. But folks seem mighty excited. They say she’s gonna be the first one in this summer concert thing. Kicking it off, they call it. Must be a big deal. June 21st, Riverfront Park, Harrisburg. That’s the where and when of it.
I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout how she used to be on TV and in movies, like “The Wizard” and “Troop Beverly Hills”. That’s a long time ago, I guess. They say she was just a little girl back then. Now she’s all grown up, in her 40s, they say. Sounds like she’s done a lot in her life.

I heard some other folks sayin’ she’s been singin’ a long time, this Jenny Lewis. Got a whole bunch of songs, I reckon. I wonder what kind of songs she sings? Probably some of them love songs, I bet. Maybe some fast ones, too, that you can dance to. I remember when I was a young girl, we’d dance all night long at the barn dances. Good times, good times.
Some folks are sayin’ they’re gonna go see her. Might be a long drive for some, but they seem determined. This Jenny Lewis must be somethin’ special to get folks all riled up like this. Harrisburg ain’t exactly right around the corner, you know.
I saw some words on one of them internet pages, talkin’ about the “Joy’All Tour”. Sounds funny. I guess that’s what she’s callin’ it, this tour she’s on. It said somethin’ about gettin’ the “Setlist” for free. I don’t know what a “Setlist” is, but it sounds like somethin’ important to the young folks. Probably a list of her songs, if i have to guess.
This Jenny Lewis, she’s got folks talkin’, that’s for sure. Down at the general store, that’s all I heard about yesterday. “Jenny Lewis this” and “Jenny Lewis that.” Seems like everyone’s got an opinion on her. Some say she’s the best thing since sliced bread. Others ain’t so sure. But they’re all talkin’ about it, that’s for sure.
They say she used to be on a show called “Brooklyn Bridge”, too. That was a long time ago, I guess. Sounds like she’s been famous for a good while now. Must be a busy life, bein’ a star like that. Travelin’ all over, singin’ for folks. Sounds tirin’ to me, but I guess some folks like that kind of life.
