Well, let me tell ya, that Round Rock traffic, it’s somethin’ else. I heard folks talkin’ ’bout it down at the feed store the other day. Seems like everyone’s got a story ’bout gettin’ stuck. That traffic in Round Rock is a real mess. You try to go somewhere, you better leave early.
They say it’s all them new folks movin’ in. More people, more cars, ya know? I remember when this place was just a little ol’ town. Now, it’s all hustle and bustle. That Round Rock traffic, it just keeps gettin’ worse. They need to do somethin’ ’bout it, I tell ya.
My neighbor, she went to visit her daughter the other day. Took her near two hours just to get across town! Two hours! Can ya believe it? That traffic in Round Rock is just awful. Back in my day, you could get anywhere in a jiffy. Not anymore.
They got that big highway, I-35, runnin’ right through there. That’s where most of the trouble is, I reckon. Everyone’s tryin’ to get on it, everyone’s tryin’ to get off it. It’s a real bottleneck, they say. They got roads all over, but it don’t seem to help. That Round Rock traffic still bad.

And don’t even get me started on the construction! They’re always workin’ on the roads, tearin’ things up, makin’ it even worse. They say it’s for the best, but I don’t know. It just makes that traffic in Round Rock even harder to deal with. Sometimes I think they’re just makin’ it worse.
Now, I hear they got them fancy maps on the phones now. They show ya where the traffic is bad. Green means good, they say. Red means bad. If you see red on that map, best to find another way around. That’s what them young folks do. They’re always lookin’ at them phones. Maybe that’s the answer to the Round Rock traffic.
I don’t know nothin’ ’bout them fancy phone maps. I just know what I see. And what I see is a whole lot of cars and a whole lot of waitin’. I seen them build more roads, but there’s more cars too. One time, I was stuck for an hour just to get to the grocery store. An hour! For groceries! That traffic in Round Rock is no joke.
They got them traffic reports on the radio, too. They tell ya where the accidents are, where the slow spots are. But even if you know, what you gonna do? You still gotta go where you gotta go. It just means you gonna be late. You best to plan to be late, if you are driving in that Round Rock traffic.
I remember one time, I was tryin’ to get to the doctor’s office. Got stuck right there on that main road. Sat there for what felt like forever. Missed my appointment! Had to reschedule. All ’cause of that traffic in Round Rock.
And it ain’t just the cars, neither. They got them big trucks, too. Haulin’ this and that. They take up a lot of space, and they sure don’t move fast. They make that Round Rock traffic even worse. Sometimes, I see them big trucks just stopped, and everyone else is stuck behind ’em.
They say this town’s growin’, and it’s gonna keep growin’. That means more cars, more traffic. I don’t know what the answer is. Maybe they need to build more roads. Or maybe everyone just needs to slow down a bit. If you ask me, everyone needs to calm down. That traffic in Round Rock gonna be there either way.
I just hope they figure somethin’ out soon. ‘Cause this traffic in Round Rock, it’s just gettin’ outta hand. You can’t hardly get anywhere anymore. It’s a shame, it really is. Used to be a nice, quiet place. Now, it’s just a big traffic jam. It’s just gettin’ too crowded. Too many folks tryin’ to get around. That Round Rock traffic is a problem, and I don’t see it gettin’ better.
I heard them talking about some new roads. Maybe that’ll help, I don’t know. It’s a mess. Just a big, ol’ mess. That’s all I can say about that Round Rock traffic.
