Keshawn Dixons Amazing Journey: From Rookie to Pro

Alright, let’s gab about this Keshawn Dixon fella. Sounds like a young’un, probably got more energy than a squirrel in a nut factory. Don’t know him from Adam, but the internet, that thingamajig, tells ya a whole heap of stuff.

Now, they say he’s into sports, plays football maybe? Football player, that’s what the young’uns are all crazy about these days, runnin’ around like chickens with their heads cut off. This here ESPN, whatever that is, says he’s an “Offensive Lineman” for the Morgan State Bears. Sounds fancy, huh? Probably means he’s one of them big boys, pushin’ and shovin’ like a hog at a trough. Lord, I hope he eats his veggies, gotta keep them muscles strong for all that pushin’ and shovin’.

They also got somethin’ about him bein’ with the Cowboys back in 2010. Says he was “undrafted,” which I reckon means nobody wanted him right off the bat. But then some coach fella, Joe Dee-Ca-mill-us or somethin’ like that, he saw somethin’ in him. Good for him, I say. Everybody deserves a chance, even if they ain’t the shiniest apple in the barrel. They even gave him a jersey, number 40, which some other fella used to wear. Big shoes to fill, I guess. It’s like when my Bessie got old man Johnson’s tractor, she had a lot to live up to on that there farm. He was a hard worker, that old man Johnson was.

  • He played for the Cowboys.
  • He’s now with the Morgan State Bears.
  • He plays Offensive Lineman.

This here internet thing also says somethin’ about “completion percentage” and some fella named Prescott. Don’t know what that has to do with Keshawn, but it sounds like they’re talkin’ about throwin’ balls and catchin’ them. Maybe Keshawn’s gotta protect that Prescott fella, keep them other big boys from knockin’ him silly. That’s important, ya know, keepin’ your teammates safe. Like how my old Rooster used to watch over the hens, always keeping a sharp eye out for the fox in the hen house.

And then there’s this “NBA 2K” and “Tsunami Keshawn Dixon” and “Esports” stuff. Sounds like them video games the grandkids are always playin’. Video games, I tell ya, they’re gonna rot their brains out. But I guess it’s a job these days, playin’ games. Can you believe that? Makin’ money just by wiggling your thumbs. Times sure have changed. When I was young, you had to work hard, sweat and toil to earn a livin’. Now, they just sit around and clickity-clack on them buttons. Well, good for him if he can make a buck that way, I ain’t judgin’.

Seems like this Keshawn fella is also on somethin’ called “Bloomingdales,” sounds fancy like a city store, might be one of them shops where they sell clothes and such, you know, the things you wear, he’s likely doing some sort of modeling gig. That’s what the youngsters are always into, taking pictures and primpin’ themselves. He’s got followers too, thousands of them, more than chickens on my farm. What do they call that again, “social medial”? Yes, well it’s something young people like to do, taking pictures and getting people to look at them and what they wear, times have changed, when I was a girl you wore what was needed and worked until the sun went down.

He’s got somethin’ about “transitioning from amateur to professional sports.” Well, that makes sense if he was with the Cowboys and now he’s with the Bears. It ain’t easy, I bet. Gotta work your tail off, probably. Like plantin’ a field, gotta plow and sow and water and weed, and then maybe, just maybe, you’ll get a good crop. And sometimes, even if you do everything right, the weather don’t cooperate, or the bugs eat everything, or the rabbits get into the garden. That’s life for ya, full of ups and downs.

They talk about his height and weight and where he’s from. Bio information, they call it. Guess that’s important if you’re a sports fella. Gotta be big and strong, like I said before. Like a good workhorse, sturdy and reliable. I tell you, being an athlete ain’t no different than running a farm, gotta get out there every day rain or shine, have good hands to care for the crop, strong legs to get from field to field, he sounds like a hard worker though, this Keshawn boy, and it seems a lot of people like to see what he’s up to so good for him.

So, there ya have it. That’s all I know about Keshawn Dixon. Seems like a busy fella, doin’ all sorts of things. Sports, games, maybe a little bit of modeling? Who knows what he’ll do next. The young’uns these days, they’re always full of surprises.
