Well, let me tell ya ’bout the weather, August 28, 2023. It’s a hot mess, just like my grandson’s room!
What’s the weather like today? Hot, I tell ya, hot! They say it’s gonna be close to 30 degrees Celsius, whatever that means. Sounds like a fever to me! And sticky too, like you been workin’ in the fields all day. Humid, they call it. Humid my foot! It’s just plain sweaty.
Now, some places, they got rain. Lots of it. Like them folks over in South Korea. They sayin’ it rains cats and dogs over there in August. Good thing I ain’t there, I ain’t got no umbrella big enough for that! And Hong Kong, same thing. Rain, rain, rain. My poor chickens would be drowned!
- Hot and humid: Means you gonna sweat buckets, so drink lots of water, ya hear?
- Rainy: Some places gettin’ a real soakin’, others not so much.
- Clouds: Now, clouds, them’s tricky. White and high, that’s good. Means sunshine and a good day for hangin’ out the laundry. Dark and low, that means trouble. Rain’s a-comin’, maybe even a storm. And them flat ones, they ain’t movin’ much. Fluffy ones, they might bring a surprise.
I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout London weather. Said it was cloudy in the mornin’, then the sun came out. Heated things up to 14.7 degrees by 8 o’clock. That ain’t so bad, but I bet it got hotter later. August is like that, you know? Starts cool, ends up a scorcher. They even got folks lookin’ at the weather history, tryin’ to figure out when it’s gonna rain. Some say August 3rd was the wettest, and August 28th the driest. Well, I don’t need no fancy history book to tell me it’s hot today!
And then there’s them other places, like Rise and Manchester. They got their own weather, I reckon. Hot during the day, maybe a little cooler at night. But August is August, no matter where you are. It’s gonna be warm, and it’s gonna be sticky, and you just gotta deal with it.
So, what should you do? Well, if you gotta go outside, wear somethin’ light. And drink plenty of water, I told you that already! And if it rains, find yourself a dry spot. Simple as that. Don’t be a fool and stand out in the storm. You ain’t a duck, you know?
And them clouds, keep an eye on ’em. They tell ya what’s comin’. White and fluffy, you’re probably alright. Dark and mean-lookin’, best get inside. It’s just common sense, somethin’ folks don’t have much of these days.
This weather talk, it ain’t rocket science. It’s just plain seein’ what’s in front of your face. Hot is hot, rain is rain, and clouds is clouds. And August 28th, 2023, it’s a hot one. So, stay cool, stay dry, and stay out of trouble. That’s all I gotta say ’bout that.
