Well, let me tell ya ’bout the weather in Jamaica in January 2024, ya hear? Folks say January’s a good time to go, one of the “best weather months,” they call it. But mind you, weather’s a funny thing, ain’t it? Just like my old rooster, sometimes it crows when it ain’t supposed to.
Now, they got these fancy weather reports and all, talkin’ ’bout temperatures and such. Says it’s warm, even “very warm” sometimes. Montego Bay, that’s up north, they say it’s ’round 25 degrees Celsius, whatever that means. Gets up to 28 degrees during the day, they say. And sunny too, ’bout seven hours a day. Sounds nice, don’t it? But remember, that’s just what they say. Weather can change its mind faster than a cat chasing a mouse.
- Montego Bay: Warm, ’round 25 degrees, gets up to 28, lots of sunshine.
- Kingston: They got weather reports for there too, but I ain’t seen ’em. Probably warm too, I reckon.
- Ocho Rios: Same story, they got their weather numbers, high and low they say. But it’s all just guessin’ in the end, ain’t it?
- Falmouth: Another place they talk about. Day and night temperatures, they keep track of. Busy folks, them weather people.
They say December, January, and February are the best times to go. But hold your horses, ’cause even then, things can get a bit wonky. See, if them folks up north, in the US, get a big snowstorm, well, Jamaica feels it too. Wind gets all blowy, seas get choppy, and it gets a bit cooler. Just like when my cow gets spooked, everything goes a bit haywire.
Rain, yeah, they get rain even in January. But they say it don’t last long. Comes in quick, washes things clean, and then it’s gone. Not like them rainy months, September, October, and November. Those are the real wet ones, they say. January’s supposed to be drier. But like I said, weather’s a tricky thing. Don’t go believin’ everything you hear.
