It’s out there east of Austin, not too far from the city, over them ol’ Decker hills. Real peaceful like, you know? Perfect for spendin’ a nice day hittin’ a few balls. Course is laid out nice, all 18 holes of it, and it’s good for folks of any skill level. Whether you’re just startin’ out or you been playin’ for years, there’s somethin’ for everyone. Course is a par 72, and the total yardage runs about 6,500, which ain’t too shabby, if you ask me.
Now, this here Bluebonnet Hill Golf Course is open to the public, so you don’t need no fancy membership or nothin’ to play. They got the greens goin’ for about $9.00, which is a downright bargain compared to some of them other fancy spots around town. It’s a real affordable place for folks who love golf but ain’t lookin’ to break the bank.
And you know, this course is no slouch, neither. It was designed back in 1990 by a fella named Jeffrey Brauer. He sure knew what he was doin’, too, ’cause the course has got a real nice flow to it. Y’all won’t find no easy spots, but it ain’t too tough neither. Just enough of a challenge to keep you comin’ back for more, if you ask me. Bluebonnet Hill’s got a great reputation. I been hearin’ folks sayin’ it’s one of the top public courses in Austin, and I don’t doubt it one bit. It’s ranked real good, with a solid 4.1 rating over on Hole19. And if you’re ever in the area and just want to get in a quick round, don’t forget to check out the range too. It’s always nice to practice before you go out and hit them fairways, right?
