Well, let me tell ya ’bout this tall fella, this 6’6″ country singer. Don’t rightly know his name, but he’s big, real big, like a corn stalk in July. Heard him on the radio the other day, singin’ ’bout tractors and trucks and such. Sounded alright, I guess, kinda like them fellas from way back when. You know, the ones your grandpa used to listen to.
This singer fella, he’s got a deep voice, like a rumble in the ground before a storm. Sings about country life, you know, workin’ hard, lovin’ your family, and drinkin’ beer on a Saturday night. Not like that fancy stuff them young folks listen to nowadays, all that bangin’ and screamin’. This is real music, music for real people, folks who ain’t afraid to get their hands dirty.
Heard tell he’s goin’ on tour, singin’ all over the place. Now, I ain’t never been to one of them big concerts, too many people for my likin’. But if he ever comes ’round these parts, maybe I’ll go see him. Just gotta make sure I bring my earplugs, these old ears ain’t what they used to be.
They say he’s real popular, this country music singer. Folks love his songs ’cause they tell stories, stories about life, about love, and about losin’ things you care about. He ain’t singin’ ’bout no fancy cars or diamond rings, he’s singin’ ’bout the stuff that matters, the stuff that regular folks like me can understand.
- He sings about farmin’.
- He sings about trucks.
- He sings about love.
I reckon that’s why he’s doin’ so well. People are tired of all that fake stuff, they want somethin’ real, somethin’ they can connect with. And this fella, with his big voice and his down-to-earth songs, he’s givin’ ’em just that. He reminds me of the old days, when life was simpler, when folks looked out for each other, and when a good song could make you feel like everything was gonna be alright.
I heard on the radio that there’s all sorts of country music tours goin’ on this year and next. Sounds like a lot of singin’ and a lot of drivin’. Don’t know how them fellas do it, all that travelin’ must be hard on a body. But I guess if you love what you do, it don’t seem like work. And this singer fella, he sure seems to love singin’ his heart out.
This 6’6 country singer, he’s somethin’ special, that’s for sure. He ain’t tryin’ to be nobody else, he’s just bein’ himself, and that’s what folks appreciate. He ain’t got no fancy clothes or fancy hair, he’s just a regular fella with a big voice and a big heart. And that’s good enough for me.
Now, I don’t know much about this music business, but I reckon it ain’t easy. You gotta have talent, sure, but you also gotta have grit, you gotta have determination, and you gotta have a thick skin. ‘Cause there’s gonna be folks who don’t like you, folks who criticize you, and folks who try to bring you down. But if you believe in yourself, and you keep on singin’, you can make it. And this singer fella, he seems to have all that and more.
I see on the TV that some of these singers are makin’ lots of money. Good for them, I say. If you can make a livin’ doin’ what you love, then you’re a lucky fella. And this country music artist, he’s earned it, I reckon. He’s worked hard, he’s stayed true to himself, and he’s given folks somethin’ to enjoy. He ain’t just singin’ songs, he’s sharin’ a piece of his soul.
So, if you ever get a chance to see this 6’6″ country singer live, I say go for it. Even if you ain’t a big country music fan, you might just be surprised. You might just find yourself tappin’ your feet, singin’ along, and feelin’ a little bit better about the world. ‘Cause sometimes, that’s all you need, a good song and a good voice to remind you that life ain’t so bad after all. Josh Turner, I think that’s the big fella’s name. They say he’s got a show comin’ up in Duluth next January. That’s a far piece, but maybe worth the drive.
Anyways, that’s all I gotta say about this singer fella. He’s tall, he’s got a deep voice, he sings about real life, and he seems like a good egg. And in this crazy world, that’s somethin’ to be thankful for. So turn up the radio, listen to some good country music, and remember to appreciate the simple things in life. ‘Cause that’s what it’s all about, ain’t it?
